Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our ceramic coating and window tinting services in Southport, Gold Coast.
General
Where are you located?
We’re at Unit 1A, 54 Ferry Road, Southport QLD 4215. We’re easy to find and have onsite parking.
What vehicles do you work on?
All vehicles — sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, 4WDs, utes, wagons, vans, trucks, and commercial or heavy vehicles. Contact us for a quote on yours.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. All of our work is backed by a workmanship warranty. Ceramic coating packages also carry a product warranty ranging from 12 months (Entry) to lifetime (Premium). Window tinting Ultimate package includes a lifetime film warranty.
Can I get both ceramic coating and window tinting done together?
Absolutely — and we recommend it. Booking both together saves you a drop-off, and we offer a 10% bundle discount when both services are booked at the same time.
Ceramic Coating
What is the difference between ceramic coating and wax?
Wax sits on top of the paint and lasts weeks to months. Ceramic coating chemically bonds to the paint surface and lasts years. It offers significantly more protection against UV, chemicals, and light scratches — and makes the car much easier to clean.
My car has swirl marks — can you still apply ceramic coating?
Yes, but the coating will seal in whatever imperfections are on the surface. For best results, we recommend paint correction (machine polishing) before coating — this is included in our Premium package and available as an add-on for Standard. We’ll advise you on the best approach when we inspect the vehicle.
Window Tinting
What is the legal tint limit in Queensland?
Under Queensland law, front side windows must have a minimum of 35% VLT (visible light transmission). Rear side windows and the rear windscreen can be as dark as 20% VLT.
Does factory privacy glass count towards the tint limit?
Yes — factory privacy glass has a base VLT that you need to account for before adding film.
How do I clean tinted windows?
Use a soft microfibre cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cloths or cleaners containing ammonia, as these can damage the film over time. We’ll provide care instructions when you collect your vehicle.
